'Lou Dobbs Tonight' Independents Day Tour Sweeps Into Phoenix, Highlights Illegal Immigration
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) November 25, 2007 - CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight recently broadcast live from the Spectrum Video & Film studio in Phoenix, Ariz.
Dobbs took his controversial show on the road for a six-city tour, part of a promotion for his new book, Independents Day: Awakening the American Spirit.
Self-styled "advocacy journalist," Dobbs continues to receive both plaudits and brickbats for his views on illegal immigration. His show in Phoenix included an interview with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whom Dobbs praised as a leader in successfully tackling the issue of undocumented migrants.
Dobbs' tour will also include stops in Seattle, Las Vegas, Palm Beach, Little Rock and Chicago.
Lou Dobbs is the anchor and managing editor of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight. He writes for Money and U.S. News & World Report and manages the Lou Dobbs Money Letter. He has received the Peabody Award, the Luminary Award by the Business Journalism Review, the Horatio Alger Association Award for Distinguished Americans, as well as an Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ken Liljegren, owner of Spectrum Video and Film, helped coordinate the live broadcast for Dobbs, which included satellite uplink trucks and a 30-person crew.
"Spectrum was thrilled to have been chosen by Lou Dobbs and his CNN team," said Liljegren. "Everyone had a great time. We all look forward to working together again."
"Lou Dobbs is the man," quipped Liljegren.
Spectrum Video & Film, a full-service production and post-production facility, is located at 1747 E. Morten Ave., in Phoenix and can be found on the Internet at www.spectrumvideoandfilm.com.
